A Hawke's Bay run-holder in a big way this morning received the following cable from his London agents:— “Consider outlook for new clip encouraging, position statistaccly sound, stocks negligible everywhere, we are of opinion present fall due to beai- movement.” It was noticeable at yesterday’s Napier sale that in many Instances broken wool, which includes nocks, pieces and bellies, sold at comparatively higher prices than good sound fleeee. The Continent absorbs most of this broken wool. DAIRY REDUCE MARKET. Newton King, jjtd., are in receipt of the following cable from their principals, Messrs. R. and W. Davidson, Ltd., Glasgow and London:— Butter: Market slow; old 138 s to 1425; new 148 s to 150 s; fair demand for stored. Cheese: Market quiet at 84s to 85s. TARANAKI STOCK MARKET. The Farmers’ Co-op. Organisation So-s ciey Ltd. report as follows: At Opunake last Monday we submitted a good yarding of all classes of cattle to a good attendance of buyers. Bidding was brisk throughout, and a good sale resulted:—Fat cows were £6 5s to £9; paddock cows, £4 to £5 15s; boners, £2 to £3 10s; sound bulls, £7 to £8; works- bulls, £2 5s to £2 10s; Jersey Yearling heifers, £1 Ils to £2 7s Gd. At Manaia on Tuesday a good yarding of all stock came forward and everything was cleared at late rates r —Fat cows made £G 5s to £lO ss; store cows, £4 to £6; boners. 35s to £3 ss; sound bulls, £'s 5s to £6 I2s 6d; works bulls, £2 to £3 15s; weaner pigs, IBs to 255; store pigs, 355; cull ewes. 8s 9d. At Auroa a small yarding was offered to a fair attendance of buyers, and a good sale waS effected. Paddock cows £4 5s to £5 10s; boners, £2 to £3 10s; yearling heifers, £4 ss; works bulls, £2 7s Gd to £5; dairy heifers and cows £6 15s.
