CYUUST’S INJURIES FATAL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Stephen Payne, who was badly injured in a collision with a motor van on Thursday, died at the Christchurch Hospital this morning. Last Thursday Payne was cycling across the intersection of Linwood Avenue and Cashel Street, when the collision occurred. ’He was thrown to the ground and suffered concussion. Last night he underwent an operation, but his condition did not improve. Payne was 45 years of age.
