THE FILMING OF MONS

CRITICISM FROM FRANCE. BRITISH ROLE EXAGGERATED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Paris, Nov. 18. The newspaper Comedia, criticising the film "Mons,” now being shown by the cinemas throughout Britain, accuses the producer of exaggerating the role of the British forces and minimising the work of the Belgian and French armies. Thus the caption: “The French, having retreated, left the British Army without support,” is a little out of proportion, when it is remembered that there were only 75,(XX) British to millions of Belgian and French troops. The latter are only mentioned at the beginning and end, first welcoming the British and then when the endurance of the British had given the French time to set their own army in order.
