AIR BECOMES CLEARER. FATE OF MINORITIES. TURKS AGREE TO LEAGUE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Dec, 14. The Turks agreed to hand the control of minorities to the League of Nations. Received Dec. 15, 9.15 pm. Lausanne, Dec. 14. The decision of the Turks to join the League and submit the control of minorities to it, paves the way to a complete understanding. It is even possible, if a final settlement is not reached regarding the capitulations and Mosul, these questions will be referred to the council of the League The permanent commission of the League will take up the discussion of minorities without waiting for Turkey’s formal ad mission, which cannot be voted until the next League Assembly.
The Allies will ask the council of the League to summon a special meeting of the assembly in order to admit Turkey, thus leaving the League to settle all outstanding questions. After the conference establishes the general principle of peace, it. is expected the questions of Mosul and the Ottoman debt will finally be settled at Geneva.
