HAREM BEAUTIES FOR STAGE. By Telegraph.-—Press Aaen.—Copyright. Paris, Nov. *2B. The theatrical profession is indignant at the report that a theatrical direc. tor wired to Ismet Pasha offering to engage 200 women from the Sultan’s harem for a new show in Paris. The reply stated that the ladies were not hungry, but could accept good engagements. A rumor is current that a London producer is contemplating a tour in the East to secure real harem beauties for a London production. The secretary of the Actors’ Association told the Daily Herald that, if the. report was true, the association would do all in its power to oppose the scheme.
