FLAGRANT MISCONDUCT.
BY NAVAL STUDENTS. INVESTIGATION ORDERED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Washington, Nov. 27. A, sensation has been caused by revelations of unprecedented drunkenness among students at the Naval Academy. During the annual football game at Philadelphia with the students of the Military Academy the entire student body of the Naval Academy were permitted a day’s leave following the game, and civilians had to help many students to a hotel. Much drinking occurred also during the game, students falling from their seats. The game, which is a great social event, was attended by Cabinet officers, including Mr. Denby (Secretary of the Navy) who made a statement that he was shocked beyond measure ihat such things should have occurred “The misconduct on that occasion,” said Mr. Den'by, “was the most flagrant as far as I know ever charged against the Academy, and an investigation will immediately be ordered.’'— Aus.-N.Z.
