MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

NEW PLYMOUTH SITTING. The weekly sitting of the New Plymouth Magistrate’s Court was held yesterday, Mr. A. M. Mowlem, S.M., presiding. CIVIL CASES. Judgment- for plaintiff by default was given in the following undefended eases: Public Trustee v. Samuel Julian, Carlin G. Julian and Ethel M. Bradley, £33 3s 8d (costs £5 Is 6d); Ed. Gluckman v. N. Connell, 17s’6d (costs 10s); Aiex. Shuttleworth v. Douglas Lobb, £79 5s (costs £5 4s 6d); Lola Jivan v. Robert Gilbert, £4 (£1 18s 6d); Petty Bros. v. Stanley Dunstan. £3 Os lid (£1 Ils vd); Thomas and Johnson v. B. Howell, £9 Ils 2d (costs £1 5s 6d); Jane F. Barford v. Richard E. R. Davis, £67 19s 2d (costs £2 18s 6d); Thos. Avery v. G. Pugh, £4 15a (costs £1 3s 6d). In the case of Arthur J. Masters v. Cyril Jones, debtor was examined and an order was made for payment of the amount due ( £9) forthwith, in default ten days’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so long as debtor pays os a week in reduction of his debt. MAINTENANCE ORDER. An order was made against John Wilkie for the payment of maintenance in respect to his wife (Helen Louisa Wilkie) and child at the rate of X2 15s a week. The sum of £lO past maintenance was also allowed complainant, and defendant was ordered to pay solicitors’ costs amounting to £1 Ils 6d. .
