THE PRIME MINISTER.
VISIT TO NORTH TARANAKI. AT NEW PLYMOUTH TO NIGHT. After a lapse of several years, the Prime Minister (Mr. W. F. Massey) is about to visit North Taranaki, and will deliver a speech at the Coronation Hall, New Plymouth, at eight o’clock to-night. Mr. Massey travelled from the Auckland district by the Main Trunk express last night, and reaches Marton Junction at eight o’clock this morning. From there be will travel by motor to Taranaki, being due at Stratford about, three o’clock, and there he will make a brief stop. He is expected at New Plymouth in the evening, and will stay at the White Hart Hotel. Tonight will be devoted to his policy speech It is understood that several deputa tions, including one from the Harbor Board and one from the Chamber of Commerce, will wait upon Mr. Massey to-morrow morning. In the early afternoon he is to deliver an address at Kawaroa Park, New Plymouth, later proceeding to Inglewood, where he speaks at 3 pan. From there Mr. Massey goes to Stratford, where he speaks at the Town Hall at night. A Press Association message from Auckland' announcing the Premier’s departure for New Plymouth, says: “Mr. Massey intends to return to Auckland in about ten days, spending several days in the district. Later he will visit several centres in the South Island.” Mr. Massey, adds the message, expresses himself confident of the success of his party.
