A London message states that the estate of Mr. Lionel Robinson is valued at gross £236,332, net personalty £133,952. Queen Salate, of Tonga, arrived an Auckland yesterday by the Navua with a large suite. She will stay in New Zealand four months and later may visit Australia.
A Sydney message sayts that Mr. R. L. Raymond, the New South Wales three-quarter, lias been chosen as the Rhodes scholar for 1923. He takes hie graduate work in medicine. Colonel-Commandant C. W. Melville. C.M.'G., D. 5.0., N.Z.S.C. (officer commanding the Central Command), accompanied by Captain D. E- Bremner, M.C., N.Z.S.C. (staff officer in charge of the regimental district) arrived in New Plymouth yesterday. Last night Colonel Melville inspected a company of the local territorials and to-day will inspect the Technical College cadets and open their new miniature rifle range. He will leave for Wanganui by the mail train to-morrow.
