LADIES’ TOURNAMENT. SENDING TARANAKI TEAM. A decision to assist in sending a Taranaki ladles’ representative hockey team to the New Zealand tournament was made at a meeting of the North Taranaki Hockey Association, held at New Plymouth last night. Mr. J. W. Clotworthy presided over a good attendance. This decision having been reached, a discussion ensued on the ways and means of raising funds for the purpose, it being ultimately decided to hold a concert about March, followed by a bazaar in .Tune, at which there will be produce, sweet, fancy goods, clothing, jumble, flower, cake and book stalls, bran tub, afternoon tea, etc, Each of the six clubs in the division will be asked to assist in. the effort, especially in the provisioning of the stalls. The chairman thought tnat a sum of £lOO should be the northern division's objective, any amount above that to be given to assist the work at T reserve, Westown. The follpwlng were elected a committee to make arrangements for the concert and bavnar: Misses F. Knapman (New Plymouth Technical College Old Girls), M. Mouatt, F. Evans (High School Old Girls). B. Hawkins, H. George (High School), V. White, V. Bnsson (New Plymouth Technical College), with Miss G. Mouatt and Mr. J. W. Clotworthy (members ex officio).
