MR. JENNINGS’ CAMPAIGN. ( There was a fair attendance at the I public hall, Ohura, last night, when Air. Jennings gave his first political address |in this campaign. The chairman of the [Town Board presided. The candidate i spoke on various subjects, stating the cost of Government had been enormously increased by the establishing of boards, which, in many cases, made statutory departments subsidiary . in public matters. Soldier settlement, war bonds and freedom from income tax. the debate on the Dairy Pool Bill, etc., were j referred to, and at the conclusion of the address the customary vote was passed with acclamation.
