FORGERY ADMITTED
BAD CHEQUE FOR ANOTHER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. ■ Blenheim. Last Night. Alexander Third pleaded guilty today to two charges of forgery and littering in respect to two cheques and was committed for sentence to Wellington. From the evidence it appeared accused forged one cheque and uttered it to Arthur Bartlett, a local mercer. Bartlett later became suspicious and gave accused a few minutes to refund the money. To obtain the money accused forged a second cheque, cashed it at another shop and repaid Bartlett within a few shillings of the amount.
