CITY MILK SUPPLY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Oct. “28. During the last two months it fell to 10.9 d. During the came period the principal suppliers to Dunedin only received 10.14 d and the. Auckland farmers also got less than the Wellington price. The milk committee has accepted the proposal before the House that farmers within a two-mile radius of the city can supply all the milk they produce on condition, it is approved by a special board. Arrangements are also being made to afford some relief in cases of hardship further away.

MAORI GIRLS SUICIDE. Waipuknrau, October 27. At the inquest held at Takapau on a young Maori girl, aged IS. Ataraia Ropiha, who died as the result of taking poison, a verdict of suicide was returned. Evidence was given that she had been worried about her young man. Dr. Hall deposed that if the proper antidote had been administered the life of deceased might have been saved. TIMBER MILL BURNED. Gisborne, October 27. The timber mill joinery works of George Smith were destroyed by fire last night. They made a spectacular Blaze. Valuable machinery was destroyed. Smith was insured for £2595, but’ the loss was considerably above that amount.
