RIFLE SHOOTING.

IMPERIAL CHALLENGE SHIELD. In connection with the Imperial Challenge Shield rifle-shooting competitions for 1922, the results of which were announced last week, Viscount Jelllcoe’s (Governor-General of New Zealand) trophy for highest efficiency, which the New Plymouth Boys’ High School cadets won last year, has been awarded this year to Nelson College cadets. It will be remembered that in the recent competition, the local Boys’ High School gained fifth, ninth, tenth and eleventh places for the Empire in the senior event, whilst they were unplaced in the cabled results of the junior competition. The detailed results, however, will not arrive in New Zealand until next month.
