ROGERS DEFEATS BURNS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Oct. 24, 7.30 p.m. London, Oct. 23. Albert Rogers defeated Burns, who retired in the thirteenth round. MATCH AT BLENHEIM. Blenheim, Last Night. Under the auspices of the Marlborough Boxing Association, to-night, Lewis (Wellington) knocked out Carr (Westport) in the fifth round In a professional bout for a purse of £72 10s. Carr was winning on points to the end of the fourth round, when he rushed into a straight left and was floored, the gong saving him. In the next round Lewis Inflicted heavy punishment, and Carr took the count just at the conclusion of the round. The match was scheduled for 15 rounds. Lewis now meets Maddox for the featherweight championship of New Zealand.
