FUTURE OF BROADCASTING. rfy Telegraph- -Press Assn.—Copyright. Received October 22, 5.5 p.m. London, Oct. 20. A meeting of the Marconi Wireless Telegraph Company authorised an increase in capital to £4,000,000 by the issue of a million shares. Mr. Marconi explained that new capital was necessary for the construction of new stations, and also for broadcasting, which it was believed would assume very large proportions and add considerably to the company’s earnings.—Aus.N.Z.
