RIFLE SHOOTING.
MARKERS’ STRIKE SETTLED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, October 18. The first stage of shooting for the King’s Prize at Liverpool was suspended owing to a strike of markers, who demanded increased payment. Sydney, October 19. The markers’ strike was quickly ended. They demanded 2s a day advance, but compromised for Is, and shooting was resumed. Conditions throughout have been good, and the shooting generally on a high average.
