CHEAPER BREAD.
REDUCTION NEXT MONTH. By Telegraph.—Press AMoeiation. Wellington, Last Night. The Hon. W. Nosworthy announced in the House to-day that a reduction in the price of bread would take place in the j South Island on October 30 and in the North Island on November 6. The reduction would amount to a halfpenny on a 2 lb loaf and a penny on a 4 lb loaf. To enable this to be done, flour would be reduced to £l5 10s per ton.
