ADVANCES TO FARMERS.
■SMALL LOANS AT 5,J PER CENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Levin, Last Night. In the course of a speech here tonight, Mr. Massey stated, as Finance Minister, that he hoped to pay into the State Advances Department within a day or two a sum of £2,000,000, which he proposed to lend at per cent, on chattel securities in suras of £250 to £3OO to small farmers to establish them on the land.
