IN DIVORCE.
UNDEFENDED SUIT. Yesterday morning, at the Supreme Court at New Plymouth, His Honor Mr. Justice Chapman heand the undefended petition of Percy Ward Locker, farmer, Patea, for a divorce from his wife, Louisa Locker, Eltham. Arthur Dennison Hall, farmer and pork butcher, Eltham, was cited as co-respondent. Mr. H. R. Bjlling appeared for the petitioner, who stated that he was married at Hawera in August, 1907, there being two children of the marriage. His wife had left him once before, and then finally in July, 1914, taking the daughter with her. Subsequently he saw her in the street at Hawera with the co-re-spondent. She had a child in a pram with her, which petitioner discovered had been registered as illegitimate, co-respon-dent being named as the father. A copy of the birth certificate was produced. Evidence was also given by Jesse Tapp, contractor, Hawera, and His Hondr granted a decree nisi, to be made absolute in three months. Interim custody of the boy, Albert, was given to the petitioner, while the general custody of both children was left over in the meantime. Costs on the lowest scale were allowed against the co-respondent.
