THE STOLEN YACHT.
SENTENCES IN AUCKLAND CASE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. At the Supreme Court, Alfred Thomas Henry Skilton, alias Westlake, who pleaded guilty to the theft of the yacht Raata and to breaking and entering and theft at Mercury Bay, was sentenced to six years’ imprisonment on the first charge and two years on the second, the sentences to be concurrent. Thomas Henry Butler and Leslie Manning Burke, his youthful companions, were sentenced to 12 months’ reformative treatment on each charge, to be concurrent. Skilton was also declared an habitual criminal.
