GUILTY OF PERJURY.

HOTELK)EPER IN TROUBLE. Masterton. Sept. 5. At the Supreme Court to-day, John Thomson, licensee of the Taueru Hotel, was charged with having committed perjury in the Masterton Magistrate’s Court on April 28, 1922, by ewearing that William Hulme, laborer, was not on the premises of the Taueru Hotel on Sunday, July 26, 1922. After hearing the evidence the jury returned a verdict of guilty, and accused was remainded till to-morrow morning for sentence.
