IMPROVED DEMAND LATELY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington. Last Nieht. Replying to a question in the House to-day, the Premier stated that the disparity in price between South American chilled beef and New Zealand frozen beef is not greater than is usually the case between the chilled and frozen article. Unfortunately the prices for all classes of beef are very low, although an improved demand has been in evidence lately. The proportion of beef imported into the United Kingdom from New Zealand is not sufficient to influence the market to any great extent.
