KING ALFONSO WINS £21,500. London, August 21. A Paris message reports that at Deauville. King Alfonso of Spain won 1,200,00 francs (approximately £21,500) at a baccarat session that ended at six o’clock in the morning. Deauville is a fashionable French holiday resort. The above estimate was made having regard to the existing falling tendency of the exchange.
