The challenge round for the Davis Cup between Australia (challengers) and the United States (holders) will begin on Friday. Patterson (Australia) and Tilden (America) meet in the first match, and Anderson (Australia) and Johnson (America) follow. Patterson and Johnson play the fourth match on Monday. All the members of the Davis Cup teams, except Richards, were on the courts to-day. Anderaojj’s game was closely watched. He appears fully recovered and played sevr/al sets of swift tennis, declaring he felt tip-top. —Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
