RETURNS FOR LAST WEEK. AN INCREASE SHOWN. For the first time for some weeks a marked improvement has taken place in the tramways traffic in New Plymouth. A decrease in both the number of passengers carried and the revenue earned has been recorded for several weeks past, but the returns for the week ended last night show that 1202 more passengers were carried than in the corresponding week last year, while the revenue was greater by £2l 19s sd. The total passengers last week was 33,757 and thei revenue £364 19s Bd. Details are: Passengers. Revenue.
