WANGANUI SESSIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Associativa. Wanganui, August 22. The Supreme Court opened to-day. J. A. Dawkins, a young postal official, pleaded guilty to the theft of a postal note valued at 2s fid and was remanded for sentence. A youth? lan G. Murray, who had pleaded guilty in the lower court to indecently assaulting a girl, was ' sentenced to three months’ imprisonment. The Judge said he would recommend his Excellency to transIfer fihe boy to an industrial school. Leslie Scoullar, who had pleaded guilty to making a false declaration of the birth of a child, was fined £5. Isaac Underwood was found guilty on a charge of mischief, in breaking two windows at Taihape. INVERCARGILL SESSIONS. Invercargill, Last Night. Sittings of the Supreme opened to-day before Mr. Justice llosking. Bernard Bielawski, who had pleaded guilty to forging and uttering a cheque for £lO, was admitted to probation for 2| years. Robert Findlay pleaded not guilty to a charge of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 16. He was acquitted.
