STARTS ON A CRUISE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The cruiser Chatham left this morning on a cruise to the Pacific Islands and Australia. After gunnery and torpedo practice in the Gulf she pays short visits to the Bay of Islands, Whangaroa and Maunganui, being due at Suva on August 27, Lautoka on August 31, New Hebrides on October 1. Noumea October 6. Jervois Bay. New South Wales, October 16, Sydney October 29, and leaving for New Zealand on November 10.
