BROADCASTING WIRELESS.
ISSUE OF LICENSES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, August 11. The Postmaster-General has given further information as to broadcasting by wireless. Licenses will be issued to amateurs to receive messages. They will be divided into two classes, according to their degree of knowledge. The senior class will have, to listen in at stated intervals for Government instructions and warnings.. Special wave lengths will be allotted and there will be legal penalties for infringements of any regulation. As to sending, there will also be two grades, according to the power used. Advertising matter will not be allowed. Sending may be done by manufacturers of equipment and their agents, by approved corporations or individuals. Both fo-r receiving and sending license fees will be changed.
