BUTTER AND CHEESE.
PRODUCTION IN TARANAKI. The annual report of the Taranaki Producers’ Freezing Works Co. states: 1 “We commenced the year with a balance in store of 15,112 boxes t>f butter and 7913 crates of cheese. Of buttef there were received during fhe year 201,133 boxes (being an increase on the previous year of 47,923 boxes). There were shipped overseas 192,289 boxes l (191,289 to London and 1000 to West of England ports), and 10,020 boxes were disposed of within the Dominion, leaving in store on June 30, 1922, 13,936 boxes. Of cheese there were received during the twelve months 146,237 crates (being an increase of 24,605 crates on the previous year). There were shipped overseas 133,823 crates (122,496 to London and 11,327 to West of England ports), and 495 crates were disposed of locally, leaving in store on June 30, 1922, 19,832 crates. It is satisfactory to be able to report that since the termination of the financial year, the whole of the stocks on hand for London have been shipped. The profit and -loss account shows a credit balance of £3645 16s. Your directors recommend that a dividend of 5 per cent, be paid on shares fully paid up on June 30,1921, and that; the balance be carried forward.”
