EVERYBODY’S. MACK SENNETT’S “HOME TALENT.” ‘TJome Talent,” a Mack Sennett supercomedy, is the big feature on the bill at Everybody’s to-night and at both sessions to-morrow. The story opens- in a rural atmosphere, reveahng : Charlie Murray as an hotel man, whose principal assistant is hifl daughter, Phyllis Haver,'in th% role of a scullery-maid. Later she blossoms forth _ ; in a performance, planned and produced by_ a quartet of impecunious vaudeville per-? formers. They are Ben Turpin, James FinEddie Gribbon, and Kafla anil they neither can remain at the hotel er -leaves- it;- Thete board bill dates tjack’ to. days of the beginning of Charlie' Mui tT ray’s hotel enterprise; The~Bum due has grown until it has ceased to be an, asset in Murray’s financial accounts arid has become a liability. Charlie Murray agrees to hack them in their theatrical venture, if the quartet will give him first chance at the box-office receipts- The scenes of the : -spectacle are set in Rome, with Kalla Pasha as Nero and Eddie Gibson as a gladiatorial giant. Out of this Roman episode Mack Sennett extracted wild hilarity, romance, picturesque qualities, suspense and thrills. THE PEOPLE’S. LAST NIGHT OF ‘ THE SCRAPPER.” ; Screening for the last time to-night at the People’s is the Universal production, “The Scrapper,” starring Herbert Rawlinson. The feature is just as snappy as the title—the two-fisted action of a fighting Irishman, the sparkling sentiment of an Irish romance, blarney, and scintillating wit are included in generous portions. It is- the story of a dashing young Irishman right out of college and endowed with a hankering for two things—work and -romance. And he has the sunniest sort of a nature. If he’s winning, his only boast is: “I had ye there—yes, I did!” Rawlinson recently won great praise for his work in the leading male role of “Conflict.” The supporting films are a two-reel comedy, featuring Harry Sweet, and a News film. Prices are as usual.
