GOLFER INJURED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. New York, August 1. At San Jose, California, John Black, runnerup in the American open golf championship, is dying after a motor accident. NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. A four-ball bogey match will be played on the Walwakaiho links on Saturday. Arrange own partners, no two seniors l to play together. The championship has been postponed for two weeks. The qualifying rounds will now be played on August. 19 and 26. Players desiring to enter for the championship should put their names on the sheet at the club house, or notify the secretary as soon as possible. No entries will be accepted after Tuesday, August 15.
