At the inquest held on the body of ?>ancis Croker Stewart, found in tlie XVairoa Rarer yesterday, the jury’s verdict was that there waa no evidence to .show how the body got into the water. Deceased must have been despondent owing to shell shock during the war, and had an incurable crippled arm. The jury added a recommendation that the Government should make better provision . for returned men suffering from shell shock. MAN FOUND. DEAD. Hokitika. July 25. Reginald Fann, a married man, aged 50. was found dead in a cowshed. He apparently had hanged himself, though the rope* had broken. He had been in ill-health for months.
