At the wool sale there was a poor selection but good competition, principally for fine merinos, which were in sellers’ favour. All others sold at full late rates. The Bradford market is quiet, with a good tone, and quotations are maintained. LONDON MARKETS. HIGH COMMISSIONER’S CABLED REPORT. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated July 22, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London : Meat. Mutton market remains steady at the same prices. Good demand continues for lamb, and prices remain firm. Very small supplies fresh New Zealand beef available, and chilled also in smaller supply.
