TWO UNIONS MAY AMALGAMATE. PROPOSAL BEING DISCUSSED. By Telegraph - Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. At a meeting of the Dominion executive of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union the president (Mr. W. J. Polson) said he had received a request from the New Zealand Dairy Farmers’ Union for a conference with the general Farmers’ Union with the object of arranging an affiliation of the two bodies. A resolution passed by the Dairy 'Farmers'’ Union stated they had declined to join with anv political party, and like the New Zealand Farmers’ Union they were entirely non party. The president said' he very much welcomed the attitude of the Dairy Farmers’ Union, and the executive went into committee to consider the question.
