SAN FRANCISCO TO SYDNEY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Received July 18, 5.5 p.m. * San Francisco, July 17. While Mr. Samuels, vice-president of the Oceanic Steamship Company, is unreachable, his office states the situation in con-. nection with the United States mail con tract remains unchanged. No action has been taken.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. This concerns the San Francisco-Sydney mail service, and there has been difficulty in coming to an agreement regarding the renewal of the mail contract on the question of the subsidy.
