THE “FLIRTATION.”
LIBERALS AND LABOR PARTY. MORE SECRETS TO TELL. (By Wire —Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last NightMore is likely to be heard of the LiberalLabor “flirtation” when the House of Representatives meets to-morrow. It is anticipated in the lobbies that Mr. 11. Holland (Leader of the Labor Party) will ask the indulgence of the House while he makes a statement on the subject. His undertaking last Friday was to put all the cards on the table “with the consent of the parties concerned.” Mr. Wilford’s consent was given at the time, and presumably Mr. Holland has since been in communication with the other people interested. Mr. Holland’s task is to justify his suggestion that the Liberal Party “less than a week ago was ready to enter, into an understanding with the Labor Party for the purpose of securing proportional representation.” Mr. Wilford probably will wish to state his side of the case after Mr. Holland has finished.
