THE AUCKLAND SHOW.
LARGEST YET HELD. CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR CHEESE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The winter show opened to-day, when there was a large attendance. The show is the largest yet held in Auckland, covering 80,000 square feet of space. A prominent feature is the section allotted to the dairy produce exhibits of butter and cheese coming from all .parts of the North Island. The entries of farm produce, fruit, etc., are smaller than anticipated, but the quality is fairly good. The Industrial Association, which co-operated with the A, and P. Association in promoting the show, provided a very fine display, covering a wide range of industries. This is the first winter show held in Audtland since 1911 and it is creating great interest both in the city and country. Auckland, July 4. At the Winter Show, the champion shield for factory cheese was won by Brentwood Dairy Company, with 276.93 points; Kaupokonui, 276.46, second; Belvedere (Wairarapa), 175.92, third; Dalefield, 275.71, Horsham Downs, 276.61.
