RESOURCES OF NEW ZEALAND OPPORTUNITY FOR ENTERPRISE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last NightAt the welcome to the Empire exhibition mission attention was called to the great mineral resources of the Dominion. It was stated that English capital and machinery were badly needed - reach only a portion of the vast mineral wealth of New Zealand. It was impossible to get population until they had industries going, Baid one speaker, and capital was required to do that. The Dominion was wealthy in minerals isuch as iron, coal and marble and millions of tons were waiting to be developed. How long they would have to wait depended on the capital forthcoming. Marble in New Zealand equal to the finest Italian only wanted capital to develop it. With hydro-electrio possibilities the Dominion’s future was bright, but British money and machin-w ery were wanted.
