QUIET PERIOD BROKEN. ONE HEAVY SHOCK. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Rotorua, Last Night. After a few days of comparative quiet rumblings recommenced at Taupo this morning. They gradually increased with tremors till 4.43 p.m-, when a shock lasting three minutes came. It was as heavy as any yet felt, but did no damage. > This shock was felt at Wharepaina, Wairakei, Mokai and Oruanui, where there jvas no damage. Slighter shocks were experienced at 6.55 and 7.10. The shocks were not felt at Rotorua.
