FIRES.
HOTEL DESTROYED By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rotorua, June 29. Serious loss resulted from a fire in the old hotel buildings at Wairakei, which were used as a dwelling, bar and bulk store. The building and contents were completely destroyed, and all the summer equipment, tents and bedding, and liquor stocks lost. Mr. and Mrs. Baker had a very narrow escape.
