UNABLE TO BUY HORSE. New York, June 1. When Mr. Thomas Ryan, the millionaire turf enthusiast, attempted to buy Morvich, the crack American three-year-old, which is regarded as superior to Man-o’-Whr, the greatest horse America has produced hitherto, he met with a rebuff. “His price is 1,000,000 dollars. In other words, he is not for sale at any price,” said Mr. Benjamin Block, the owner. The record price paid for a racehorse in America was 265,000 dollars (£53,000) foo. Tracery.
