PROPOSAL IN AUSTRALIA. STABILISING LOCAL MARKET. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received June 21, 10.30 p.m. Sydney, June 21. Mr. Knox, manager of the Berrima District Fanners' and Dairymen’s Company, addressing the annual conference of managers and secretaries of co-op-erative dairy factories, urged Federal control' of butter by means of a committee elected by the producers or the three producing States, and thus secure the stabilisation of the local price of butter, irrespective of the markets of the world. The discussion showed that the delegates favored the scheme.—Aus.Cable Assn.
