PRINCE AT PLYMOUTH. A BRILLIANT SPECTACLE. LONDON PREPARES. By Telegraph.—Press Asan —Copyright. Received June 21, 5.5 p.m. London, June 20. With the' Prince of Wales on hoard, H.M.S. Renown has arrived at Plymouth. The Prince received a cordial welcome. He will land to-morrow. The Renown passed inside the breakwater to the continuous cheering of a large crowd on Plymouth Hoe. The Duke of York witnessed the arrival from Admiralty House. The Renown, escorted by five destroyers and several aeroplanes, which circled above, made a brilliant spectacle as she steamed up Plymouth Sound at fifteen knots. There was no ceremonial until she reached the breakwater, when the crews of the escorting destroyers mr.nned the ship’s guns and thundered cut the Royal Salute, while ships in harbour sounded their syrens. Three hours after the Renown went on to Devonport. Elaborate arrangements have been made for the welcome of the Prince in London, and the route from Paddington to Buckingham Palace is gay with bunting. There is every promise of huge crowds to see the King, the Prince of Wales, the Duke of York, and Prince Henry drive through the West-End streets. There will be a great gathering of Royalties. Cabinet Ministers and prominent men at Paddington Station. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
