Lowe (Britain) beat Count Balbi (Italy), 6-1, 6-3, 6-1. Kingeoote (England) beat Colombo (Italy), 7-5, 6-4, 6-1. It is announced that Lycett was unable to play owing to injuries. FRANCE v. DENMARK. (Received June 20, 7-45 p.m. Copenhagen, June 19. In the Davis Cup tie, France versus Denmark, the singles have been decided. Borotra (France) beat Ingersler (Denmark), 6-3, 8-6, 6-4. Cochet (France) beat Tegner (Denmark), 7 4 5, 6-2, 9-7. As France won the doubles they have now won three of the five matches to be played. France thus goes to the second round and Denmark drops out. INDIA v. RUMANIA. Received June 20, 7.45 p.m. London, June 19. The Davis Cup tie, India versus Rumania, has commenced at Beckenham. A. A. Fyzee (India) beat Miahu (Rumania), 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-0. A. H. Fyzee (India) beat Stern (Rumania), 6-0, 6-1, 6-1.
