RAPID TRANSMISSION. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—'Copyright. London, June 18. Mr. Marconi’s experiments have revealed the possibility of sending wireless messages at a hundred words per minute round the world. AFRICA TO ENGLAND. Capetown, June 19. Colonel Childs, representing Marconi’s wireless, has arrived in connection with the scheme for direct wireless service between South Africa and England. IJe said he was convinced that communication with England and the 'Continent for commercial purposes was absolutely practicable and would probably result in a reduction of cable rates by one-third.
