HAWERA WINTER SHOW,

HOME INDUSTRIES DIVISION. The home industries division is undoubtedly going to be the keenest competitive section of the show this year, largely due to the fact that a very handsome points prize of the value of six guineas has been offered by Messrs. George and Doughty. In all there are 85 classes for competitions, including scones, pastry and biscuits, cakes, sweets, jellies, picklee and sauces, homemade wines, bottled fruit, etc. There are also nine classes for competition amongst the children. Each section has its own points prize as well as the usual prizes for each class. Mrs. William Douglas is the judge in tjiis section, and the fact that this capable lady occupies the difficult position' will encourage exhibitors and lead to a generous Entries in this section close on Saturday next, June 17, and those interested who have not yet procured a schedule should write for one immediately.
