N.Z. FRIESIAN ASSOCIATION.
OFFICIAL DEMONSTRATIONS IN TARANAKI. A meeting of the Taranaki branch of the above association was held in Stratford last Tuesday for the purpose of arranging a series of demonstrations to be given by Mr. Geo. Aitehison, of Kaitangata, South Island, the honorary .official demonstrator of the . Friesian Association. Owing to, the limited time at Mr. Aitchison’s disposal and the proximity of the Palmerston North winter show, it was decided to hold only two this year. The first is to be held on Messrs. G. A. Marchant and Sons’ property at Cardiff, when the public will have an opportunity of inspecting one of the leading herds in the Dominion. The second demonstration will be held on Mr. Marx’s farm, at Mangatoki. Although not strong in numbers, Mr. Marx owns a. very select herd, which will be augmented for the occasion by selections from the herds of Mr. Th'os. Perry and Mr. H. W. Hoskin, who both own some particularly fine animals. Mr. Aitehison is a o'entleraan well qualified for the position he holds, and is recognised as one of the foremost breeders and judges of Friesians in New Zealand. Full particulars will be advertised in this paper at a later date.
