CHARGE AGAINST PROMOTER. By Telegraph.—Press Associattoa. Auckland, Last Night/ The Magistrate continued the hearing to-day of three charges against Charles Alfred Healey of having obtained money by false The total involved was £437. Evidence was given that accused entered into partnerships with three men, who put in £l5O for a half interest in a picture film business. It was alleged accused represented himself as a film supplier and importer and that the films were new, never previously having been ■shown in the North Island, or, in some cases, in New Zealand. The evidence showed that the films supplied were old ones with new titles. The business did not come up to expectations and accused dropped out, in two cases, giving the third partner a promissory note for £l5O for his share, and the note was not met. Accused was arrested in Web lington. He pleaded not guilty and was com* mitted for trial.
