RACING IN AUSTRALIA. BIG ENTRIES FOR V.R.C. CARNIVAL. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received June 8, 5.5 p.m. Melbourne, June 8. Record entries have been received for the Victoria Racing Club’s spring meeting, the total being 2820, against 2565 last year. For the Melbourne Cup there are 297 entries, compared with 274 in the previous year. They include Cypher, Lapland, Kick Off, Radiant Light, Cupidon, Molyneaux, Truthful. Tlie Caulfield Cup has attracted 276, against 249 last year. They include Cypher, Cupidon, Kick Off, Molyneaux, and Lapland. For the Australian Hurdles there are fortyseven, and for the Steeples fifty-one entries. Kohu is included in both.
